Welcome! Season Two begins with Karen Arthur in conversation with Nicola Brierley - Wife and mother of three, Founder of South London Vintage Clothing Store 'Little Sister' and proud Dominican and Peckham-ite. Nicola is funny and frank on how she managed both a Diabetes diagnosis and the onset of her peri-menopause. We discuss the difficulties shielding due to some of her families medical issues during the pandemic against a backdrop of Black Lives Matter, a bereavement and anxiety brought on by The Menopause. Nicola shares how her subsequent foray into group therapy, HRT and a love of embroidery and salsa dance all help her maintain her a positive mid-life.
